Hello and thank you for joining me.

I am a writer based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Last year I self-published two books, a historical novel ‘Bound by Sea’, and a collection of my father’s letters and photos from WWII, ‘Flies, Sand and Unwashed Socks’.

I would like to share my experiences of writing, publishing, historical research and exploring family history. Articles about the process of writing, editing and printing, successes and failures may be useful to those sharing similar journeys.

‘Bound by Sea’ is on Amazon as an e-book. ‘Flies, Sand and Unwashed Socks’ is currently being distributed to libraries and book shops in New Zealand by Nationwide Book Distributors. I will write in future posts about how these books came into being and how I managed to publish them.
